Ten years ago, I moved to Belgium with a wardrobe problem.
I wanted clothes that worked: pieces that looked good, felt right, and could handle Belgian weather without making me overthink every morning. Minimalist, timeless things I'd actually wear for years, not seasons.
Belgium had an unexpected answer. I discovered local brands doing sustainability properly, with attention to colour, pattern, and craft that I hadn't considered before. It changed how I saw fashion entirely.
la péniche is where that Belgian influence meets my first love: Nordic design.
The name comes from the boats: steady, practical, built to last.
